I have a proposal for SHOUT! Factory: to make a deal with MTV Networks & Viacom, parent company of CBS Television Distribution, for SHOUT! Factory to release a brand-new DVD compilation titled "The Best of Double Dare," a 3-disc collection showcasing 24 episodes (8 per disc) of the hit 1986-1992 television game show "Double Dare" featuring some of the most memorable moments in the show's history, as originally broadcast on the Nickelodeon Television Network, with 0% edits.
Episode requests for "The Best of Double Dare" shall include the following:
1. Bangles vs. Wizards (first broadcast episode)
2. Express vs. High Flyers (first taped episode)
3. Jetsons vs. Dynamic Duo (writer Alan Silberberg pies Marc Summers after an obstacle course win)
4. Fishheads vs. Schitzophrenics (generic episode)
5. Ozones vs. Longshots (early syndicated episode)
6. Fluffer Nutters vs. Bug People (generic syndicated episode)
7. Mad Mountaineers vs. Chowderheads (syndicated episode where Marc Summers gets pied all over his jacket and is forced to change jackets)
8. Demolitioners vs. Energizers (syndicated episode from Fall 1988, one of the first with glass tile added behind Marc's podium, replacing clouds of the first 3 seasons)
9. Hollywood & Vine vs. Wacky Weasels (celebrity week episode featuring Candace Cameron & Jeremy Miller)
10. Public Enemies vs. Illegal Eagles (celebrity week episode featuring David Faustino & Staci Keanan)
11. Hot Pursuit vs. Spaghetti & Meatball (celebrity week episode in which David Faustino, Staci Keanan, & Marc Summers run the OC for the civilian kids)
12. East-West Connection vs. 2 Wonders of the World (A.K.A. "Salute to Hollywood Squares")
13. DD Connection vs. Screaming Eagles (otherwise generic episode in which a question is asked, "What Shakespeare play is about a prince of darkness?")
14. Beauty & the Beast vs. Oozing Pigeons (A.K.A. "Marc vs. Harvey")
15. Whippersnappers vs. Psychotic Bananas (A.K.A. "Double Double Dare," an episode made in 3-D)
16. Fondak Family vs. Fischler Family (episode featuring fastest OC win in "Double Dare" history, with 17 seconds remaining)
17. Daring Dunhams vs. Rubbles (generic episode in which a Fort Worth, Texas family wins the OC with 2 seconds remaining)
18. Blue Bullets vs. Fluffy Hippos (episode of "Double Dare" in which a gakked-up family wins the game)
19. Chew Family vs. Wilfrid Family (episode of "Double Dare" with a painful OC loss at Obstacle #3
20. Ghoulies vs. Tasmanians (episode in which a Brooklyn, New York family walks away $425 richer and goes to the OC)
21. Baggy Blues vs. Dream Team (episode from 1990 in which a contestant named Amy slids after a last-second victory in a physical challenge)
22. Gruesome Twosome vs. Roaring High Tides (generic episode from 1988)
23. Donna's Kids vs. Apaches (generic episode from 1988)
24. Hour-long Tournament of Champions finale ("Double Dare's" series finale from 1992)
