Questions about MST3K artwork
Is it a possibility that other MST3K characters could eventually join Crow and Tom on the mini-poster artwork, such as Gypsy, and possibly Joel or Mike?

Also, for the main box art for Volume XVIII...could the text and stuff be purple? (One of my favorite colors for one of the best sets yet! :-) )

RE: Questions about MST3K artwork
We'll certainly look into the possibility of including characters like Gypsy, but I don't know that I would want humanoid characters like Joel and Mike or the gang in Deep 13 to make appearances.  There's something about the imagery of bots replacing original human figures in the movies that seems a little more appropriate to me.  I dunno.

Thoughts?

1 out of 4 should have Gypsy in them. If you ever get Fire Maidens you may want to include Evil Timmy. But yeah Huminoids wouldn't work for the steve vance paterns.

Shout Factory knows how to release televsion, now if only they could release Legends Of the HIdden Temple. One can always dream.

Hmm...I guess that makes sense.

And while it wasn't purple, the blueish color scheme for Volume XVIII looks nice!

Gypsy would be great for artwork for Crash of the Moons as she participates in a song with Crow and Tom Servo - its a funny segment and well it would be a good time to add her. at least to Crash of the Moons

Yeah, robots...  no humans.  Besides, it seems like it corresponds well with the robots in the animated menus.  The way its done now is great, but it wouldn't hurt to see Gypsy in one that was appropriate.

I agree about the humanoid characters.  That probably wouldn't translate as well as the bots.  And Gypsy only pops up every now and then on the show, so she doesn't seem as essential to the art as Tom and Crow.  But if Steve Vance came up with a good idea to include her then sure...go for it!  Otherwise, if it ain't broke then don't fix it.
