It starred Robert Stack, Susan St. James, Tony Franciosa, Gene Barry and Darrin McGavin in a crime drama that preceded the Columbo, McCloud and McMillan & Wife shows. I'd love to see Name of The Game released on DVD! |

Season 3 has the legendary first directorial outing of Steven Speilberg "LA 2017," referenced in the opening shot of Blade Runner. The wheel series was a unique and smart move on the part of NBC and their future corporate sibling, Universal. The NBC Mystery Movie has seen some releases (Columbo, McCloud), I'd like seeing some more of this unique programming. The Bold Ones is another wheel series of fine quality that I'd love to see issued. |

I completely agree about the ingenuity of the "wheel" series, though. This one in particular would be great on DVD, as the high production values have helped it age well. |

Great cast and an obvious release choice, there's nothing but good reasons here to get ahold of this Universal title for any licensing DVD company out there with Uni deals.

The series had great stars--Susan St.James, Robert Stack, Tony Franciosa and others that I'm temporarily forgetting........ |

Susan Saint James played Peggy Maxwell, who would appear often in any of the three leads' segments. Franciosa showed up less often and left early in the third season.
The same year The Name of the Game began, Gene Barry starred in a TV Movie called Istanbul Express, a Bond-style picture with John Saxon - anyone remember that? |

Rare you see that anymore. Arrest & Trial was another one of those hour-and-a-half TV shows. Gene Barry often Guest Starred too. |
