I'm Frank, Brian's friend and Producer. I wanted to stop in and introduce myself and I was hoping to get your thoughts on something.
I'll be handling Sonic Underground (under Brian's supervision), and I know that the order in which the episodes originally aired isn't narratively the best (especially with the two "sagas"). What are your thoughts for the best way to present the the episode order? I assume you'd want to start with the Origins Saga but after that, does the orginal order of airing make sense to you guys?

This would make make sense because you would start with the origins saga and end with another saga. Also the emerald saga is a big event in the Underground Universe. It would only make sense to wrap up the series in a big way. |

Member since: 4/17/2007 | | RE: Sonic Underground Episode Order? | As long as "Beginnings" is first, and the Floating Island Saga are together, i.e parts 1, 2 and 3 come after each other, not like on the Anchor Bay release, and as long as the order of them meeting Knuckles makes sense, because I believe there's one episode after the 3 part saga where they meet him, I may be mistaken but I think on the UK dvd this came before they actually met him, then really any order should do fine, because like "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" there is no arc and all the episodes (apart from the 2 3-part saga's) are all stand alone episodes.

Well, I searched some places who have alot of info on SU, and this is the Episode List I copied and pasted here. I think that this one is a good list to use for the series, since it flows alot better than using the order they were all first aired. I've seen it thru this order, and I believe that its in good order this way.
But since I am too lazy today to edit this, I think that Wedding Day Blues would go good on slot 30 probably. *nods*
Anyway, I hope this is of good help to you all. ;)

Thanks for the help! This is pretty much what I've been thinking for the episode order, so its good to have it confirmed.
Feel free to keep tossing out suggestions. Like Brian, I want to make sure we serve the fans as best as we can.

I double checked with one fan site of SU, and also with Wikipedia, so I made a confirmation, and since I enjoyed viewing it in this order, I think its good to say that everyone will like it too.
I think one other, and yet crazy idea would be subtitles for the show. Or.... well the music I guess. Since SU always had a song every episode. I do know a fansubbing site that can do subtitles for a nicer price compared to the other companies, and they also add some awesome karaoke lyrics to the songs. But this is just a suggestion, I don't know if you all have the money in your budget for subtitles, or how it all works. But if you are all interested in what they offer, I can offer a link to their site.

But I am curious as to how Jaleel had to go with 3 characters for each episode.

Member since: 7/27/2007 | | RE: Sonic Underground Episode Order? | I believe the episode order given by Rave makes sense; the Origins saga should definitely be the first eps in the order, and the Chaos Emeralds saga should all be presented in order sometime later (they're good where they are in the list).
It's great to see this cartoon getting a DVD release; I've always been a big fan of it ever since it first aired. There are some people who don't like it because it's too different from the Sonic they know, but I think it carry's a certain appeal. The characters make it fun to watch, and although most of the eps were kind of episodic in nature, they all carried a decent plot within them that makes it fun to sit through. |

We're not quite done producing the set, yet, so I imagine it will be sometime after that. I would guess that sales would begin sometime in either October or November.

And I know that retail sales actually begin on December 18th, when all the major stuffs go on sale on DVD - The Simpsons Movie, Sonic Underground, and quite possibly TransFormers: The 2007 Movie. |
