Member since: 1/27/2010 | | RE: The New Leave It To Beaver | I posted a request to Brian on the original Leave it to Beaver board shortly after the complete series set was announced...although he didn't say it in so many words, he more or less indicated to me that we MIGHT see the Still the Beaver reunion telefilm in the bonus features on that set when it is released in June. He also indicated (again, in not so many words) that they are doing everything they can do to get it, and if it is not on there, it is impossible to obtain.
I used to be the Editor for this series on tv.com, and while researching to update the guide there I read somewhere around the net that RHI Entertainment acquired the Australian-based Qintex Entertainment (which had bought the masters to this series shortly before they went out of business in 1990) and all of its holdings ca. 2006, so its possible that the rights may no longer be entirely in limbo (don't hold me to this, but I DID read it). I guess we'll find out shortly...
Please visit the Leave it to Beaver board under the 1950s TV section and read my original query, and Brian's 'it' response... |

RHI is ON DEMAND too, so I keep hoping maybe the movie or the series would be added there too. If not, I hope Shout gets the movie or the series or both.
