Battletoads and Double Dragon
Battletoads and Double Dragon are two shows that are under the radar out of old shows. Both have their own tv series. I know that Double Dragon had 26 episodes and 3 VHS releases. Battletoads didnt exist as long. Will shout plan to release either series on DVD?

RE: Battletoads and Double Dragon

Brian,

Even though battletoads didnt last as long as anyone anticipated, double dragon would be an awesome show for shout! to focus on for their next DVD release. What we do know is that DIC owns the rights to the show, aired it between 93-94' and then released several episodes on 3 VHS tapes. If the show made it past the video stage,i'm sure it'll do well for DVD sales. Double Dragon is a DIC property that was widely known at its time. The show ruled and always will. For 26 episodes, its worth reissuing.

Who else agrees about the release of both shows? Would anyone like to comment about the show?

....And Brian, on that note, when will shout factory focus on getting the rights to Double Dragon and Battletoads?

RE: Battletoads and Double Dragon
Battletoads lasted precisely ONE half-hour episode.  It was released on VHS a number of years back, and I hapened across a copy.  Man, have you actually SEEN that show?  The games were awesome, and would have lent themselves SO easily to a kick-butt animated series.  But wow...it was REALLY awful (and I say that as someone who is often quite forgiving for the "cheese" factor of a lot of cartoons).  I can't honestly see there being ANY demand for this one.

Holly Hannah!!!

There was a Battletoads animated pilot?!  I had no idea.  Shame to hear it's awful, though.  Still I need to track this down, just to have the pleasure/displeasure of watching it.
