I just got an email from TVshowsOnDvd.com, they said that Shout!Factory obtained the rights to the Facts of Life.

Season 4 including The Facts of Life Goes to Paris.  Alleluia!!!!  Finally.  Thank you shout factorty!!!!

Hi.  Yes I definitely agree that Diff'rent Strokes and Silver Spoons should be released too.  I love most of the sitcoms in 1980's including Golden Girls, Small Wonder, Mr. Belvedere, My Two Dads etc.

This is fantastic news! You guys are amazing. Especially since Brian had stated before Xmas they were interested in the series but Sony was not.

Hopefully Sony will relinquish more stalled series such as One Day at a Time, Hazel and especially Maude. Bea Arthur's passing last year sparked a lot of interest, and I think it would be a good seller.

Regardless, Shout! will do a terrific job on Facts and Leave it to Beaver, I'm certain!

Since Shout! Factory is releasing The Facts of Life on DVD, pershaps they will do a better job than Sony could have!

If only they could pick up the rights to Different Strokes!

Please look into Different Strokes and release more Facts of Life!

Great job on Season 4!!! I am loving these episodes again!  Hopefully, Season 5 and the rest of the seasons will be out really soon!

Perhaps one day, Shout! Factory will release Different Strokes Seasons 3-8 on DVD, when they pick up the rights!

Please give us more Facts of Life on DVD, Shout!

All I can say is WOW! Shout has done a FANTASTIC job with Season 4. "The Facts Of Life Goes To Paris" looks remastered. For its age, I don't think they could make it look better. I was really impressed.

And I have already been reading many posts online asking for Season 5. This must be one of Shout's big sellers this year. There was so much hype around this release and now that it's available, the hype is continuing. I must chime in and say I hope we hear an announcement for Season 5 really soon. They gotta keep this 80s show excitement high. They are definitely doing a world of difference from what Sony did, at least, in terms of timing. Those Sony sets were great. They just didn't deliver past Season 3. Glad Shout has picked this up. GO SHOUT! GO! 

Wow! The release of Season 4 sure garnered a lot of attention for Shout. I hope they are working on Season 5. Facts fans are very passionate. I knew everyone would be craving for more after the release of Season 4. 

Yes, I can't wait to order Season 5 of FOL.  I just got Facts of Life Season 4.  I am soooo excited about this.  As for the other great show Diff'rent Strokes, I hope Sony or which ever company will release the rest of this series to honor the late great Gary Coleman.  You are sorely missed by many fans and RIP.

Hi adamwade.  I am in total agreement with you.  I got Season 4 of FOL in the mail.  I heard that they will release season 5 which will be awesome too.

I just saw all the episodes of Facts of Life Season 4.  It was totally awesome.  Plus I love the Facts of Life Goes to Paris.  That was cool too.  I hope they will release Season 5 and beyond.  This show totally rocks.  I am hoping that Diff'rent Strokes will be released soon.

Oh Brian Ward, patience is not a strenght of mine.  But, as you say not to count out another volume I will try to find some.  It's only that FoL is my all time favorite comedy, and the possibility of MAYBE one day owning all the episodes seems like a fantasy!  :)

That was a great idea a poster had --- Shout should release a double set "The Edna Edible Years" Seasons 5 and 6 together. I think it's only fair since we had to wait for so long in between Seasons 3 and 4 -- and besides --- season 7 is the best season of the show in my opinion -- very 80's pop culture, George Clooney, great writing in alot of very funny episodes. The show really turned over a different layout in season 7 and was comedic genious on the producers part.

You shout guys should do that B. Ward -- that's an awesome idea.

Season 6 is one of those 'okay' lets get it going seasons as only a handfull of episodes are great and the rest are just very dull -- it's like the writers couldn't think of anything to write about until they burned down the shop and breathed life into the stale gourmet food shop. lol.

I want all seasons very soon. :)  -- I can't express that enough in writing. lol. We have been waiting for so long. Thank You for continuing the series Shout --- very awesome. :)

Another great idea is episode introductions from the cast -- the Here's Lucy season sets are doing that -- and they are very entertaining. They did it for each episode -- with even guest cast giving tidbits about what they remember being a part of the show for that episode. It's very cute. :)

We fans of Diff'rent Strokes have to convince Sony Pictures to kindly license the show to Shout! Factory, in order to get Seasons 3-8 released.

Diff'rent Strokes fans need to buy the first 2 seasons on DVD, because poor sales, is the reason why Sony didn't release Season 3 years ago!

I knew you guys and gals would all like the 'Edna's Edibles Years' DVD idea of Season 5&6.  I would also happily pay extra money for a double season release!  I hope Shout! digs the idea too.

And Season 7 is a definite favorite of mine too!!  :) 

Hi adamwade.  I too am very interested in getting the rest of the seasons of the Facts of Life on DVD.  The 5th season onwards features Edna's Edibles then in the 7th season, it is Over Our Heads.  I happen to like the later episode too.  I can't wait to see it on DVD.  Please Shout! Factory, release it asap, I know you guys are busy but I am hopeful.
