RE: MORE HERB COMIN'
That's great news.

In my opinion, Herb Alpert's most artistically successful recordings are Warm, The Brass Are Comin', and Summertime. The music on these really holds up--neither of these three releases sound even the least bit dated. It's a shame that they weren't as commercially successful for Mr. Alpert as his earlier recordings, but that's all the more reason  to give them a contemporary re-evaluation. These three recordings are also chronologically the ones that follow Shout Factory's Alpert reissues so far... so I hope... please... if nothing else please make sure to reissue these!

Two other things that would also be great: a boxed set of all the TJB recordings, in chronological order, including the material from "Lost Treasures," and a detailed booklet putting it all in historical and musical perspective, including the contributions of Mr. Alperts brilliant sidemen and musical collaborators; and a DVD containing Mr. Alpert's three television specials from the '60s.

In any case, keep up the great work, whatever you choose to reissue... and realise, a lot of the people buying these reissues nowadays are musicians who respect and take this music seriously...

Tennessee Tuxedo and his Tales: The Complete Collection
MoreTennessee, a wise-cracking penguin, and his dimwitted pal Chumley resided in the Megalopolis Zoo, where they were constantly scheming against zookeeper Stanley Livingston and his assistant Flunky in an attempt to raise the quality of zoo life.
