Sometime in mid 2010, is there any way or any chance in having that soon to be dvd release of the Robert Young ABC tv 1969-76 medical series "Marcus Welby, M.D." on Shout! Factory with at least season 1 of that show?

Would love to see what design they've come up with. Hopefully, they will churn these seasons out at a rapid pace. Would love to get the entire series. |

Please bring "Starman" the 1986-87 tv series, Silver Spoons seasons 2 & beyond and Jennifer Slept Here to DVD. |

This past month Shout Factory has made me so happy first with the release of Ironside Season 3 (which I am truly enjoying watching right now), then the announcement of Marcus Welby had me so happy I feel like my feet aren't touching the ground. Now what would really make me so elated would be if Shout could also look into acquiring Medical Center. This show debuted the same time as Marcus Welby and most people were fans of both these shows. |

I just hope all seasons can be released. I now an older show like this can be a hard sell. Esp when most people who loved the show back in the day don't use their income much for these type of purchases. Although I think the final season of Murder she Wrote got a release date, so who knows.
I was surprised by the case the MARCUS WELBY MD release was sold in but it is fine, like i said on the FACTS of LIFE thread it should help keep costs down. If it helps get more seasons released then I support it.
I opened my packaging and I really love the layout and design of each of the DVDs. Esp the color scheme. The booklet is very cool also. I wish I knew more people to recommend the Season one set to. I will just have to spread the word to other blog sites. |

The music sounds very faint like in an echo chamber at many intervals even when the dialogue is strong but there are also a couple places where the dialogue audio seemed to drop a bit and I had to strain a bit more to hear things. I hope this isn't hte result of a flaw in the mastering. |

Did you notice Albert Brooks in the pilot as the college student w/ a girlfriend walking on the sidewalk. It was late evening/nighttime. |

(I've had enough "medical drama" in real life :P) But I hear that Marcus Welby's more lighthearted and enjoyable than today's shows in that genre... plus I love Robert Young! Love his old movies, am happily collecting Father Knows Best... and want to support Shout Factory. AND it was such a great price, how could I resist? :) $34.99 CDN for 7 dvds?! To think Warner still charges $60 for 5-6 dvd boxsets... And your smaller, humble company can afford to give us a better deal than WB-who-own-everything-and-are-zillionaires? I love it! Looking forward to checking out the show. :) |

It may depend on where you live, though, and how close you are to where the product ships from. We have an amazon facility here, so on most items the turnaround is very quick. |

I've also read many comments from people all over message boards agreeing that Amazon's Customer Service has declined quite a bit this past year. So I have steered clear of them since. I'm amazed at the good customer service I've received at other online retailers in comparison to Amazon. The smaller companies have been much better which is a bit surprising. I'm trying out Shout Select for the next season of "The Facts Of Life" to see if it arrives on or around the release date. If it does, I will be buying all future Shout dvds direct.

With ShoutFactory I have made several orders and the shipping is really fast and the dvd cases are always in mint condition. No box cuts or dents etc. |

I mean, where do you see producers take the time to share upcoming news and actually listen to feedback. Even if they do make a mistake (many times it isn't even their fault), they don't just hide and leave it at that. They come on and talk about it. That's what I love about Shout.
Hoping for more Marcus Welby too. Thought I'd add that little note in there. |
