TWINS OF EVIL and VAMPIRE CIRCUS on DVD Please! Good Timing!
With Shout! Factory licensing a number of items from MGM, now would be the perfect time to release the Hammer vampire classics TWINS OF EVIL and VAMPIRE CIRCUS with the so-called vampire craze now stronger than ever. These two titles (as well as many other unlreleased horror/sci-fi/cult classics) have listings on MGM's website/database, but no DVD releases in sight. Apparently they're not interested in relasing catalog titles anymore. Shout! to the rescue?

I am 100% in support of Shout! Factory acquiring these titles and releasing quality sets on DVD.  I can guarantee that there are thousands of Hammer fans who will buy these up!!

The stuff that Shout! has so far licensed from MGM has been TV series such at "Mr. Ed" and "The Patty Duke Show." I'm hoping (and praying) that they can license some cult movies from MGM, especially all the AIP classics that the Lion is sitting on since they decided to stop putting out catalog titles on DVD. DEMONS and HUMONOIDS are New World Pictures titles, so those have nothing to do with MGM, at least in terms of rights.

MGM and the Susan Hart AIP titles would be great..
Who would think The Colossal Beast would come before Colossal Man ?

TWINS OF EVIL and VAMPIRE CIRCUS, along with Vincent Price's MASTER OF THE WORLD, are the most conspicuous cult titles MGM is sitting on.

I agree!  Is MGM waiting for a specific time to release these on Region 1 DVD or are they waiting for the right company to come along and license these out?  If MGM is no longer interested in releasing old catalog titles, Shout! should swoop right in and snatch up these films.  Thousands who have been waiting for a Region 1 release of these will purchase right away!!!!

Any response or input from Shout! in regards to acquiring and releasing these two titles on DVD?  These two Hammer films will generate a huge revenue for Shout! Factory, given that thousands of people are waiting for these on a Region 1 DVD!!

RE: TWINS OF EVIL and VAMPIRE CIRCUS on DVD Please! Good Timing!

This would be great to have all those titles George Reis has listed on website out on dvd. I, too, am a big Hammer fan, and even though I have been aware of the existance of TWINS OF EVIL and VAMIRE CIRCUS for as long as I have been alive, I have never seen these two movies. Though, I have a faint memory of seeing a hammer film revolving around a circus. I just recently got into that Count Karnstein Trilogy (THE VAMPIRE LOVERS, LUST FOR A VAMPIRE and TWINS OF EVIL). I'm not a big fan of any of Hammer's Dracula or Frankenstein flicks, but I was suddenly in the mood to see something new on the Hammmer front, was aware of THE VAMPIRE LOVERS in its Midnite Movies form, and went out and bought it.

I loved it---Ingrid Pitt was hot in her prime---and went in search of LUST FOR A VAMPIRE. Got a hold of that one, and, despite its flaws, I still think it's a keeper. Thought that song needed to be excised though. Now, I was planning on acquiring a bootleg of TWINS OF EVIL, but in light of what I'm hearing now, maybe, I'll wait to see what transpires this year.

I also learned MGM owns the rights to William Malone's CREATURE (aka TITAN FIND), and I only learned this when I emailed Code Red, suggesting the film to them as a possible release, and they actually ended up responding. Code Red said he'd love to put out CREATURE, but, he went on to state, MGM doesn't deal with small companies like his.

Oh, well.
