It's an old Screen Gems/Columbia show like Father Knows Best that's owned by Sony so Shout would probably be the one's to do it if it happens. I guess Sony didn't like the bottom line on Season one so they abandoned it. It's to bad that Shout didn't do The Donna Reed Show which is also one of those shows. The company that did it did a crappy job. Maybe they can do it later? Jack

I think it would be great if they could add episodes from Shirley Booth's last series "A Touch Of Grace" much like they did with the released seasons of "Father Knows Best". On the 5th and final season, maybe they could do an interview with Lynn Borden and Ray Fulmer who played Barbara and Steve Baxter. This would be a tremendous set to own. :) |

Hopefully with all the original " Screen Gems " logos that appeared at the end of the various seasons( Torch Lady 1960-62, Dancing Sticks 1963-65, and the Sreen Gems-S 1965-66). We've waited since the 2006 Sony release of season one. I would love to see the rest. Sadly, all the principal players are gone, but there must be some sort of extras that could be added. Maybe some commercials done by the cast, etc. |

I am not sure whether WWOR ran the final season when they played Hazel in the early-to-mid 1990s. |

Really funny! And Lynn Borden worked really well with Shirley Booth. There was one episode where they thought there was a ghost in a house. That one is a riot!  |

The prints on the color shows were great, sadly I always found the last season a big letdown and feel they should have kept Whitney Blake and Don DeFore instead of changing the format - the 5th season is when HAZEL jumped the shark to be sure! The show was a favorite of mine since the late 1960's and early 70's when Channel 5 in NYC aired the show in the morning with DENNIS THE MENACE, ANDY GRIFFITH, DICK VAN DYKE and BEWITCHED and we would watch on summer break or holidays from school! You know what is amazing is that these shows were laugh out funny and had great writing that did not rely on filthy langauge or discussion of body parts to get a laugh. The writers of these classic shows had talent and the shows have lived on because of the care and talent involved in them. |

They have a lot in common:
They're both based on a single-panel comic.
They're both controlled by Sony.
They were both the highest-rated sitcom on the air in their first seasons (1959-60 for Dennis, and 1961-62 for Hazel.) |

There is still a lot of great Shirley Booth television product for Shout Factory to release though: her Emmy nominated performance in THE GLASS MENAGERIE, the acclaimed production of DO NOT GO GENTLE INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT, and the tv movie THE SMUGGLERS as well as her 70's series A TOUCH OF GRACE. |

I'd love to see the entire series put on DVD. Shout did such an AMAZING job on the recent 'Leave it to Beaver' Complete Series, would LOVE to see them do this with 'Hazel!'

After nearly 5 years, I'm not optimistic, but it's worth letting Sony know you're interested. I found this email address:

on an old discussion thread at another site. Email them to let them know - if they hear from enough folks, maybe they're finally give in and either release seasons 1-4 or license another company to do so.

These are apparently very poor copies of VHS recordings, and many of them don't even have sound. Buy these at your own risk (there were also several posts about these outfits taking the money and not sending anything at all) - a few folks actually received the DVDs and warned that they're not in any way worth having. one guy even actually got a refund from the company, and even for free, he said he still did not want the set. |
