Freddy's Nightmares
If Warner Brothers have no plans to release Freddy's Nightmares on DVD, would it be possible for Shout! Factory to acquire the rights to release both seasons on DVD in 2010, what with the Nightmare on Elm Street film remake coming out in cinemas in 2010?

RE: Freddy's Nightmares

I always thought the timing would be great to get these out in the new year too. The new movie is coming, a new documentary feature on the series is coming, Robert Englund's new book is out, and such. Strike while the iron is hot again. I haven't seen this show since it was on.

With Shout! building a relationship with Warners, I hope this is a title they get and release. I've been wanting and asking for this one for years. Can you look into this one B. Ward?.

I'll have it looked into.  With the upcoming movie on which they could capitalize, I'd think they'd want to release it themselves.  Maybe I'm wrong.

I think they might be gunshy considering they tried to release it overseas and it sucked.

If you guys could, please make it the complete series.  Despite the hate it gets, Freddy's Nightmares is pretty fun in its own right.  And truth be told, there has to be stories behind it because the longer it went on, the weirder it got, and the more watchable it became. :)

I heard about that too,  but they should at least try it here. It might be different. So many bizarre, obscure shows have gotten released, so this should have a chance. I haven't seen it since it went off the air in 1990!.

They should just release the complete series since this only had 2 seasons.

Honestly, I'm not sure why they didn't bother with the remake.  The show is a bit silly in some regards, but it's not making any money while in the vaults.  And truth be told, some of the early episodes are very effective.  I don't see how they couldn't just put out the whole thing through Mill Creek as a twelve-disc set and just be done with it.

I would definitely be interested in buying the DVDs of Freddy's Nightmares if Shout! Factory released them.
