Thanks for taking the time to speak with me the other day, I will spealking with Mr Gray tonight!

You know what we should say "the reason it hasn't happened yet is really between SHOUT and Mr Gray" in my conversations they have all left the door open - so knowing how much SHOUT loves classic tv and knowing Mr Gray has a wonderful career that should be documented via an interview with Mr Gray on one of the last two season sets that will hopefully be released completing the series we should all cross our fingers and still have hope. I have been in contact with SHOUT since day one when the first dvd set was due for release and gently nudged a very good contact at SHOUT to push for UNEDITED episodes after the first release had 14 cut prints.  Also going forward a great way to go is trying to get a disc released of the 14 episodes in UNCUT form from season 1, the problem is the prints were said to be below par in quality that is why SHOUT used the cut prints on the first set - you know they were really between a rock and a hard place on that call - because had they put those prints on the first set people would have screamed bloody murder.

There are many options open to getting a interview with Mr Gray on FKB's remaining season (5 and 6) release or possibly if SHOUT does release the two reunion movies later or issue the 14 episodes from season 1 with UNCUT versions on a single disc release - I wonder if all the fans of the series agree to see "Princess, Bud, Kitten, Claude Mesmer, and Kippy" sitting in front of the still standing exterior house set out at the Columbia ranch would be really sweet!

We as fans do play a key roll in this first we MUST support the disc releases - dvd box sets seem to suffer from "sequel-lie-tiss" where when a studio releases sequel after sequel of most movie franchises the grosses drop off except the rare exception of STAR WARS and THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK!  So we need to support season 4 of FKB in larger numbers to not only insure we see season 5 and 6 but also that SHOUT could justify increasing the production cost to do an interview with Mr Gray and the rest of the cast!  

Oh yes and kudos should be given to SONY for going the extra mile in helping provide UNCUT episodes as I had posted elsewhere SONY has no gain in the release of the series on video, they do not have the ancillary rights covering a home video release but have dug into their vault to get the full length episodes - how rare is that in today's world!  

Great post! You are so right. I have to say the idea of having those actors in front of the house would be magnificent and historical. It would make for an amazing shot to say the least.

I am definitely in for the full series on dvd and the reunion movies. I hope everyone else supports these sets as well. Maybe even some new fans will hop on.

I would have to dig through my old VHS tapes of FKB to find it but I do have one of the reunion tapes with Billy Gray participating in a discussion of the show with Jane Wyatt, Elinor Donahue and Lauren Chapin.  Jane Wyatt was an absolute gem on that discussion panel.   She had such great recall of the show and displayed so much common sense in her remarks.  It was wonderful and I would love to see that included in a future FKB DVD.
