Peyton Place

We just finished the first season. We started six weeks ago with Netflix, each time a disk arrived, we had to restain ourselves not to watch all seven shows right in a in row. We had to space it out at least a little, but is wasn't easy.

"Fabulous" doesn't do it to describe this series and the hold it gets on you. I came over to "Shout!" hoping to hear that more episodes are on the way. Instead, I found just "maybe's". We can't stand it!  We can't be held responsible for what we will do to ouselves if we are deprived too long.

What about those ads on the Net for the whole 514 episodes for $150 or so? Are they legitimate? Wait, we don't care whether they are legiimate or not -- just if they are any good.  Please folks, throw us a lifeline to preserve our sanity.

RE: Peyton Place

As much as I am DYING to see the rest of Peyton Place, I won't be buying any illegitimately burned copies whether it is legal or not.  Shout's PP DVD's were very well made and I will wait for future sets and support each release.  Should Shout be unable to obtain more of this excellent show, it may leave me irked, (OK, pissed off!  Gimme another reason to get drunk!), but I won't encourage the purchasing of a burned-from-TV collection.

They are terrible copies from CHINA, I made the same Mistake and Ordered The Complete series of Adventures of Ozzie and Harrett, they are terrible and You can not return them. They even Billed me Twice 150.00 x2 = 300.00. Lucky for me Visa took off one of the charges! Beware!

As for as I know Barnes and Noble Books are the only Retail carring Sout Factory Releases of Peyton Place. Si I have the first two releases which equals the First Year. The Lady at B&N told Hime They would probably release 2 to 4 box sets a year and then do the daytime version RETURN TO PEYTON PLACE

Also, Not sure if You are aware of this, Sandra Bullack is set to star as Peyton Place Auther GRACE METELIOUS  in a 20century Fox New Movie for the Theatre Titled *THE GIRL FROM PEYTON PLACE*! She was a wonderful writer and it is terrible how the real town of Peyton Place treated her right up until her young death. The even tried to stop her kids from burying her in the Church graveyard in that town!

"the first two releases which equals the First Year."

The first two releases don't equal the first year. The first year ends with episode #114. That would be PP Part 4 if the boxed sets continue to average 30-35 episodes.
