Rights issues with certain MST3K episodes.

Kind of confused about the rights to certain episodes of MST3K and why they would never come to DVD.  If the rights are so hard to obtain. How where they ever allowed to air on T.V in the first place? Or shown in reruns after ? I just don't get it I guess.

RE: Rights issues with certain MST3K episodes.
The TV rights are owned by Paul 'Little Peli" Pantoski, who traded Jim Mallon a 1987 Honda Accord for them. He was ok with TV broadcast, but does not like the "dvd" format. He is more a fan of pantomime. Thankfully BrAIN Ward and PT Shoutfactory (the owner of shoutfactory) are able to sneak in to Pantoski's mansion every few months, and with the help of their monkey butler and some high grade opium, secure the video rights to a select few films. Its really not that complicated.

"Don't touch me there, BRIAN WARD! Touch me HERE!"
