MY SWEET CHARLIE Starring Patty Duke and Al Freeman, Jr. 40th Anniversary Edition
Next year will be the fortieth anniversary of this lankmark television film. At the time of its airing it was the highest rated tv movie in history. Patty Duke won the first ever Emmy given to a tv movie actress for this film. It was released on VHS a while back from Universal, but has sadly been pushed aside and forgotten compared to tv films such as BRIAN'S SONG & DUEL. Both Duke and Freeman are still alive and well. As is director Lamont Johnson. I think something very special can be done for this if Shout! is able to get the rights.
