Today's Special was different, might be worth a DVD release. You'd kinda hope for whichever studio was releasing Sesame Street or The Polka Dot Door to promote it though.
Had a major "click" in my head when The Green Forest was brought up just now (that image of the title card helped). Before Transformers, before Thundercats, before He-Man (those all might have been airing at the time, but maybe I didn't catch them until repeats later in the `80s), I know (and from my mom telling me) that The Green Forest was my favorite cartoon as an infant/toddler. Would love to own that on DVD (that and Belle & Sebastian--the one about the little boy trying to find his mother, assisted by a Great Pyranees dog and Poochie). |
