RE: Where's the second season of "Family Matters"?
I just don't understand why Warner Bros. hasn't continued with a series that defined the '90's generation. Every episode of Full House and Home Improvement is available, why not Family Matters? I can't imagine the show garnered low sales, seeing as how the first season has over 100 reviews of people wanting the series, even prior to its release. Season 2 is currently offered through Amazon's Instant Video streaming. My question is why not slap those episodes onto a few discs and release them to the public? Music clearances really shouldn't be an issue, seeing as how the series rarely used any! With the current state of the economy, I can understand why some fans may be waiting for future releases, before diving into purchasing the show. I'm sure sales would climb if there was a shorter time frame between seasons. (After all, Warner Bros. took five years before releasing the second season of Growing Pains!) It's already been a year since June. Could it be the show's run in syndication is preventing the home video releases? Half the time Nick at Nite doesn't show the episodes in order. Please Warner, treat fans to more Family Matters before 2011 ends!
UPDATE (10/19/11): Family Matters: The Complete Second Season is coming out via Warner Bros. on Valentine's Day 2012! I just thought I'd pass this news along! What a sweet treat for fans!
