Murphy's Law (George Segal & Maggie Han)
If the six-episode Andy Barker PI could find preservation on DVD, I hold out hope for what IMDB tells me was a five-episode series (I really thought it was longer), Murphy's Law. This series starred George Segal as an insurance investigator with the gorgeous Maggie Han as his cohabitant, a lingerie model. (Han was indeed a lingerie model, and could be seen in that role in L'Eggs commercials which accompanied the show once or twice.) Although the show was not true to the Warren Murphy novels which inspired it (featuring a character first named Digger and then more successfully, with a change of publisher, Trace), it had its own merits. The tone of the show was quite unpredictable: comedy, mystery, the last episode tragic on a level with Job. Great supporting cast. Shout!, please dig out this show and let me see it again.
