Mister Ed dvd contains syndicated (cut) episodes
Just a word of warning for Mister Ed fans, I picked up Shout! Factory's new Mister ed dvd and it contains 9 edited episodes. Such a shame as I had high hopes for this set.

Actually, it's 8:

Busy Wife, Kiddy Park, Stable for Three, Ed the Lover, The Pageant Show, The Aunt, Little Boy, and The Contest

But yeah, hopefully future sets will be better. (Not that SF isn't fully aware of the fact that fans don't want edited episodes).

Sorry I have no sympathy for Shout! who did a sloppy job on the dvd set. I returned the dvd set to my retailer and got my money back. I don't support companies that release edited episodes on dvd and neither should anyone else.

What bothers me is the fact that during the featurette, they had the incessant music tinkling low in the background. And they've done that with other shows as well. It's irritating! Not to mention the Studebaker commercial whose sound is inaudible. Why bother putting that on if you can't even HEAR the DAMN thing!

You would think that after going through this with Father Knows Best and Rhoda they would have learned their lesson by now and been a little more aware of running times. Sheesh. Will they ever learn?
