PLEASE Shout! Image was going to release this classic cult TV movie from 1981 but negotiations fell through. The director is in talks with several other companies. If you could get this & do a correct DVD release that would be great! Please bring "Starman" the 1986-87 tv series to DVD.

I firmly agree to seeing this TV movie on DVD. I was discouraged when I read that the project fell through with Image, but had renewed excitement when I also read that those who are attempting to release this on DVD are still pushing for a release sometime next year. I have already put the idea out there for Shout! to look into releasing The Babysitter (another great TV movie from the early 80's) and I would love to see a quality release of this one as well.

I don't understand why such a gem of a movie is not only so underrated, but so hard to find. I was so excited when I first heard a DVD was in the works, and so disappointed to hear it had been canceled. Please Shout, get your hands on this movie and release it!.
I hope it's true but still nothing official has been said. Supposedly Image was releasing it this past year and that fell through so until Lionsgate or whoever officially announces it I'm not getting my hopes up. I just wish Shout! could release it, but at this point as long as its done properly I'll take it from anyone. Please bring "Starman" the 1986-87 tv series to DVD.

Really?!. I hope something happens. I was so disappointed when it was canceled. I have this on tape but I can't find it anywhere. It needs to come out!.
It's about time!. VCI Entertainment is working on a special edition DVD of this movie that screenwriter J.D. Feigelson says they hope to be ready and out by Halloween!!!.
