It was a good show I thought..it was on ABC and had it premiered several years earlier when the Friday Night TGIF block was still very popular I think fate would have been much MUCH kinder to this show. It probably would have enjoyed a long run in that case. It just seemed this show would have been a perfect fit for that block and seemed like that's what it wanted to be a part of. It just premiered 4, 5 years too late :( I think WHEN they decided to give it a shot had way more to do with it only lasting one season as opposed to no one wanting to see it. It came out at an awkward time for ABC..the TGIF block had just died a few years before and they were trying a lot of different things to keep that audience and those kind of shows on that network. I think ABC is probably very much kicking themselves in the butt for not picking up a lot of the shows that enjoyed great success on the Disney Channel because that's what a lot of the casts and crews from the old TGIF shows have been up to. Had say...Hannah Montana, The Suite Life and a few other Disney Channel shows had started out on ABC instead, you can bet the TGIF block would have lived through much of the last 10 years. Honestly, that's what they really should have done at the time. Those shows all did REALLY well and were probably the kinds of stuff ABC was desperately looking for back in 2000. If you look through the credits of some of those shows you're for sure going to see some very familiar names. Anyway, Just not great timing for the show all around. I would surely buy the one season that did come out. There were a few episodes at the end I didn't get to see and would like to. |
