Member since: 8/27/2009 | | Suggestion: The Equalizer | I have a suggestion for another series that Shout Factory may consider for DVD release. I would really like to see The Equalizer (starring Edward Woodward) get further seasons released. Universal issued season 1 in-house, but much like Simon & Simon, they have allowed it to languish after that lone release.
I would have to assume that Universal found the sales inadequate to support the investment in additional seasons on DVD. Since Shout Factory seems to specialize in picking up series that get caught in this type of situation, I would like to request that they explore the possibility of picking it up.
Of course, I have no inside information on whether Universal has further plans of their own for The Equalizer, but given the period of time since their season one set was released, I am guessing they do not.
If it is available for licensing and Shout Factory could make it work, I would certainly buy every season that was made available.

If nothing else, this could be a shout select titile as has been done with Ironside, Simon & Simon, etc.
While I'm up on my classic TV soapbox, allow me to cast another vote for a Shout Factory release of Spenser: For Hire. Those who only know Avery Brooks as Sisko from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine are missing out. |

I heard the troubled actress has launched several networks and studios in a new sitcom. It is not clear whether a given starting point or pitch, is not that services Sheen acting.
