I would also like AOSTH Vol. 3 to be released as soon as possible maybe by next summer 2010.  This last set should have the best episodes on it like the 4 part chaos emeralds episodes.

Probably not on their plate, just like TMNT, or the unreleased C.O.P.S and Inspector Gadget episodes. So Sonic can be added to the list of things Shout couldn't finish?

Sorry to hear you guys took a risk and it went unrewarded, I know what it's like to feel the pinch of this company.

According to another thread, Brian says they basically know if a show will have another release by the sales of the first two weeks it is out.  Therefore, I think it is very doubtful unless they do something like the DVD on Demand thing.  It would be nice if somebody from Shout could just tell Jonny that this is the case.

It is hard to believe that it has been years since these initial topics came up regarding AoSTH being completed.  We have all offered our opinions (many were shocked a second volume was released) and many have asked the same question.  We respect the privacy of the company and until then it is a waiting game.  Here are some quotes Brian made on previous threads through the last year or so:

"It is true that we have to wait and see how well volume two does, but I'm not too worried.  if I've learned anything by the DVDs I've produced at Shout! Factory, it's how well the fans respond to Sonic and Super Mario Bros.  Still, we even like to separate releases by a minimum of six months to allow sales to remain steady and exclusive to the current sets.  So if it does well, you can look for the third volume sometime mid-late '09, hopefully" - 1/13/2009

"We've got our hands a tad bit busy with some "stuff."  I wouldn't count the third volume out, yet.  Just don't expect it this year.  Unfortunately, there just aren't enough of us to make it happen.

Obviously these comments were posted in January and March, so a lot could have changed.  One can only assume that "stuff" was Transformers and G.I. Joe.  Reading into those comments, he seems optimistic, yet cautious.  Those holding out for a third Volume of AoSTH should continue to wait with cash/credit card in hand.  Shout deserves our money for the great work they have done on past titles.  It would be nice to know their intentions for the series so that way if worse comes to worse we can always move forward and *gasp* purchase the UK box set with the poor quality transfers.  I'd gladly want to give Shout my $, but I don't want to wait so long that the UK box set goes out of print and becomes expensive.

We'll continue to wait......

Maybe he's planning to release aosth vol 3 around the holidays.- That's my prediction.
