hi everyone, I was just wondering about super mario super show, is vol 1 n 2 the comlete series, as I have seen vol 3 (Robokoopa) n 4 for sale in UK company, but cant find the episode lists.

also, anyone who knows - super mario world 4 (captain n and the super mario world), are the 4 vols that are out (Australian) the entire series (inc Captain N series 3??)

didnt even realise u guys were releasing a full set of captain n in the super mario world, looking into some of the other collections, quite a few seem to mix the differnet series together (like captain n and super mario 3 seasons)

As a Mario fan from the UK I can help you, the Volumes sets are different between US and UK versions in more ways than one. Besides Robokoopa only has 3 episodes since I have it (RoboKoopa, Count Koopula, Jungle Fever). The US Volumes 1 and 2 are the complete series in production order (except for a few live action segments due to legal reasons). The UK releases follow the same order. UK Volume 1 has the first 6 episodes, Volume 2 has 5 episodes (the PAL version of 3 Plumbers and a Baby was destroyed which is why it was skipped) and more are hopefully planned.

For Super Mario World, it is all the episodes and yes it does have all 7 episodes of the 3rd Season of Captain N for the Australian release, only thing missing is the Captain N intro. Shout will bring Captain N and the New Super Mario World has the legal rights have just on the way of clearing

Great news about Captain N and the New Super Mario World. Something I need to mention, will the Captain N intro part of the show be included since current airings do not have this (it starts with the Captain N logo and switching to Super Mario World intro instead of the Captain N intro first)?

trustkill: I've seen enough Super Mario World to last me a lifetime, the first 7 episodes of Super Mario World was also aired with the last 7 episodes of Captain N. This is where it gets trickier, in some countries it airs the last 6 Super Mario World cartoons back to back (which are still 11 mins long) so the end result is 20 episodes ( 7 Captain N and 13 SMW). In the original US airing however it airs a chopped up Captain N from Season 1 or 2, either to fit 11 mins or as a 2 parter like The Quest for the Potion of Power just to fill the 13/26 episode quota from NBC.

Ward just said all the episodes were on there, as for how much will it cost, it will cost what the others cost$23-$30 depending on where u buy it, i prefer Best Buy, theres prob only one bonus feature cause the whole toon run was 13 episodes. Calm down haha.

Excellent! I can't wait until this DVD set comes out. Then i'll finally have the whole collection. I kinda wish there were more than 13 mario world episodes though,and a Yoshis Island cartoon series too keep things going.

1)  How much progress have you been making doing this?

2) Do you know the specifiics of the problems with Yoshi that caused this all to happen?  I was just curious, or are there legal precedents preventing anyone to talk about it?

      What are the chances of adding or sneaking in the missing live action sequences that didnt appear on super show vol 2 DVD onto the super mario world set? In fact, what were the reasons for excluding those missing episodes in the first place? It just seems to be a mystery.

I'm typically paitent with cartoon DVD releases, but  the adventures of super mario world  takes the cake. I dont know why, maybe because its the third and final part. Aside from the sentimentals, I heard all episodes and shows are stored in a vault  and must be restored for picture clarity like its brand new. What's the process for all the series that shout attempts to format and release on DVD? What happens if the available episodes are not restored 100%? For something like super mario world, if one episode cannot be fully restored, howmuch of a setback would it be for the release and what secondary actions would be taken?

Secondly, whats the current progress on the artwork and the show itself?

The only comment I can say is for 13 episodes,not including captain n, waiting until october/november to hit shelves is pushing it.5-6 months is dragging the limit.Shout in the past has released something similar to this in 2-4 months tops.Shows with abundant episodes is comprehensible, but 13?? You guys could have that completed by the end of july, and then schedule for an august release if you wanted to. I respect your efforts and procedures to complete everything by a certain time. This is just my opinion on the matter.

Shout factory has been miraculously successful with the releases of both super shows vol 1 & 2, and mario bros 3 will soon join their ranks . I just hope all this time and effort for such a small show shines light at the end of the tunnel, I really do.

           Recently ive had thoughts in the past if a Yoshi's Island: Super Mario World 2 or Super Mario Kart series will appear after Mario World. Both would make good storylines to work with. But knowing 1991 was the last time seeing mario in a different series, nothing happened since. Does shout factory have their own studio section to devise and create their own tv shows on any magnitude? I'm curious if shout is a duo company,serving as both DVD distributors and having an entertainment studio, like similar to (Lionsgate,Warner Bros,..etc). If you guys are capable of doing so, its a good chance to restore Mario's glory on the cartoon spectrum again.

      Cover art almost completed and the entire show in the post- production stages. Do you have an official release date, at this point, for Captain N and the adventures of super mario world?When will it be announced? Will the dvd set have storyboard extras like shown on the super show DVDs?  Does shout offer discounts on  DVD titles?

I never said there was a Yoshi's Island or a Super Mario Kart cartoon at all to begin with. I just thought both would be great ideas to write about. It would be cool if DIC and Nintendo could create a series like that if they wanted to, but that'll never happen in a million years knowing the generation and time is long gone.
