Malcolm in the Middle
Yet another great TV show hasn't been released on DVD, apparently due to music rights issues. I almost wore a hole through my Season One DVDs from watching them so much. Shout, could you come to the rescue of Malcolm in the Middle?

I would definitely like to buy DVDs of Malcolm in the Middle. If you have to change the theme song, then so be it, but at least give us the episodes!

I love this show, in my opinion its one of the best sitcoms that fox came out with. the first season was released way back in 2002 and season 2 just never arrived. Is there any possibility that shout could acquire this, could the music issue be looked into if it could be worked out or replaced? Even with minor musical edits, Im sure people would still get this title. I know I would.

Season 2 was going to be released in autumn 2003, but was cancelled due to high costs of music clearances. They could take out the music. I don't care about the music, I will be it because the show is funny.

As much as I would like to own the entire series of Malcolm, I wouldn't want the original music scores replaced. I have bought numerous DVDs where key musical numbers or characters alluding to songs are missing, and therefore the series is jarring to watch. Plus, the longer the series isn't released, the more fans can hope for complete episodes one day surfacing to DVD. Music changes are one reason I refuse to buy Married... with Children on DVD; the theme song has been hideously replaced, and if that's not bad enough, tag scenes are missing to blend with the new score. I'm not trying to be petty, but isn't the point of DVDs to preserve the original telecasts and to treat fans to uncut episodes not available in syndication?

Agree with crazy... some of the funniest moments during the run were the musical interludes, the Poker tournament at Abe Kanarban's, Frances and boys shooting projectiles off their roof with giant slingshot, the final play of the hockey match between Lavernia's crew vs Howie Long/Terry Bradshaw's all-girl squad, Susudio playing during Hal's reclamation of the Lucky Aid from Craig the tyrant night manager; I have about ten more examples like that - tell me you aren't cracking up if you remember any of them!
