video game cartoons
Does shout have plans to release more cartoons based on video games in the future? while shout has covered alot of ground with there mario and sonic sets there are many other classic shows such as donkey kong country, double dragon and pole position that deserve proper dvd releases.

RE: video game cartoons

I'd also like to see somebody release Dragon's Lair and Saturday Supercade.

Video game cartoons tend to sell well.

I to would like to see Pole Position get released in the states. However it has been released in Europe. I would love to see Dragon's Lair, Space Ace and Saturday Supercade get releases as well.

I have always wondered if nintendo owned the rights to the donkey kong segments of the saturday supercade beacuse a few years back nintendo had a website deticated to the mario series with game lists and all that but on that site i remember seeing a screenshot of that show in good quality. unfortinently that site was replaced by a site for the new super mario bros. ds game

RE: video game cartoons

So would I, of course.  With the recent success of the Pirates of the Carribean movies, I think pirates are back some.  If WB has the rights, then somebody might have to buy it off of them because they seem only interested in releasing DC superheroes and classics (ie Jetsons) lately.  I'm not sure how willing WB would be to selling just one title off, but I think it is more likely possible that they could be talked into selling off a group of them, particularly if they have no plans for them.

I, too, would be especially interested in Dragon's Lair and Space Ace, but neither are available.  As far as other game titles, I'm not sure there are many that would live up to the Super Mario Bros. or Sonic The Hedgehog numbers, which were already--to be honest--on the bubble of profitable.

Will they release Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog Volume 3 on DVD? How were the sales for Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog Volume 2 and did it sell very well?

WB owns saturday supercade. However they have to get the ok from the game companys to release them.  They can't air donkey kong without getting nintendos ok.  Don bluth said ok and thats why boomerang airs space ace and dragon's lair.
