I was surfing the web and came across the short lived 80's show "The Charmings". I remember this show and think it would be wild to see again. I don't think I have seen it since it went off the air in 1988. It would be cool if Shout could get a hold of this and release it!.
I mentioned it months ago. I love this show. I remember that it had something to do with a writer's strike cause I remember that Soaps all went into reruns.
Of course this series stars the great Christopher Rich of Murphy Brown and more recently Reba.
I loved this series. I have a few episodes from the original broadcasts but they are very poor quality. I would love to see this released on DVD. Edpittsburgh
I too would love a release of this series. Even if it ended up being barebones. I have low-quality vhs of the whole series but a good quality DVD release would be wonderful. :) It does indeed have a small cult following and with only 21 episodes a complete series release would be the most obvious release choice.
I have such great memories of this show from when I was a little kid. But, I haven't seen it since I was so young, I don't remember a whole lot of the specifics. My nostalgic side would be very happy to see it released on DVD.
I've been hoping for Shout Factory to get the rights to this for years. I'm constantly checking here and tvshowsondvd with the hopes of seeing this release.
The last time I saw The Charmings on TV was 1991 when CTV: The Comedy Network ran it in a rotating schedule of sitcoms called Sitcom Sanctuary.
It was very cleverly written and the acting was flawless. The only bad thing with the series - the replacement of Snow White. Caitlin O'Heaney was the perfect actress for the part. While Carol Houston did a good job, she was more like a sitcom-version of Snow White (since this was a sitcom though, I guess that made sense).
I hope to someday see this again as it originally aired (good quality and unedited). Only Shout Factory can make this happen though.

She may be the smartest unicorn in Equestria, but Twilight Sparkle gets an “incomplete” in friendship. There’s more to life than learning magic, after all!
