I hope Shout! Factory can look into releasing the final 2 seasons of The Bob Newhart Show.
Please release them!

I think this is a great title for Shout to try and pick up, though, and Newhart himself seems very generous in providing interviews for other projects. Please consider this request Shout! |

(It's the main reason I didn't buy Season 1 of Newhart - I didn't trust the studio the second time around. Unfortunately, those suspicions were well-justified.)
Here's to the hope that Shout! will complete this long-neglected series. |

Sadly, this was not the case. Hopefully, Shout! will be able to fix the incomplete set sitting on my shelf, in the near future. |

Member since: 4/22/2009 | | RE: Bob Newhart Show Seasons 5-6 | I recall my local MPLS newspaper doing an interview with Bob Newhart around the time of the NEWHART release of Season 1 and they even mentioned the fact FOX had not finished releasing The Bob Newhart Show and he even said it even seemed odd to him, that they should have finished the original series first. I still want the remaining seasons of The Bob Newhart Show, but I have an odd feeling with all the seasons of NEWHART i just don't see the releases happening. It seems it would be easier to do Complete Series Box Set for these shows that way there is no risk of never owning the remaining seasons.

While a date and box art are currently unavailable, there IS a pre-order listing at amazon.com and a suggested retail price (although it's probably a discount). I seem to recall a Mary Tyler Moore Show complete series set that is still up for pre-order, but has not formulated, even after the individual sale of its seasons. Here's to hoping that Fox will finally give fans what they have been craving for years and years!

Fox has yet to announce both titles, but please pre-order them to ensure the entire series makes it to home video format. I certainly think we're getting close to checking in with Dr. Hartley again. Can't wait!
