There's a kind of arrogance with Warner Brothers. First of all they don't digitally remaster old TV shows on DVD (based on Dallas and Knots Landing). Secondly there are old TV shows which still haven't been released on DVD. For example, Midnight Caller and Freddy's Nightmares. Also they don't seem to be listening to customers. Why are they so reluctant to let DVD distributors like Shout! Factory release their shows on DVD? Universal have done it for example with Simon and Simon.
Warner may eventually start releasing TV shows through the Archive Program. Meanwhile, one has to get these shows through "alternate" means. "God chose those whom the world considers absurd to shame the wise; he singled out the weak of the world to shame the strong. He chose the world's lowborn and despised, those who count for nothing, to reduce to nothing those who were something." (1 Cor. 1: 27,28)
warner owns the rights to alot of the best shows but they do nothing to get them out at all hopefully the manufacture on demand they are starting will help up get more rare titles
I bought Scarecrow and Mrs. King Season One on DVD. I love this show. Yes it is cheesy 80's show but I love it. The music is awesome too. I hope Warner Bros. will release Seasons 2 to 4 sooner than later.
I hope they continue it too. But I'm still waiting for more Perfect Strangers, Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures from WB. At this point I kind of expect them to abandon shows and leave fans hanging. I wouldn't be surprised if they're holding onto stuff for their online exclusive DVD-R line (which is so overpriced and notorious for their quality control/customer service problems, I don't feel safe dealing with them.)
I'd love to be wrong and see more "normal" Scarecrow & Mrs. King releases.
