Member since: 4/8/2007 | | Reefer Madness | | Since Shout Factory has a lot of cult-type releases (many of which are in my own collection), I figured this was worth suggesting.... The 2005 musical remake of "Reefer Madness" desperately needs an official soundtrack release. When Showtime debuted the film, they sent out a press kit that included a CD soundtrack -- the few pressings of that CD are now hovering around $100 on eBay. To add insult to injury, the songs on that disc are allegedly truncated to remove long orchestrated moments (despite my best efforts, I haven't been able to get my hands on the CD to know for certain). The people behind the film/play (www.reefermadness.org) are interested in making the full soundtrack available, but it hasn't happened yet.... maybe this post will get the ball rolling, with any luck... |
