Select episodes of "Private Secretary" were released on budget DVDs some years back, but since the episodes are now in public domain, the quality is less than stellar. I think the releases would do quite well as Sothern has a strong and devoted following and neither shows have been aired in reruns since Nick at Nite ran them back in the 80s. |

I really enjoyed it and had no idea at the time that I would never see it on TV again! I don't remember much about the Ann Sothern show but I remember liking Private Secretary better.
I do have all of the public domain DVD's and a couple of VHS tapes for a total of about 22 episodes, but that is only about one-fifth of the total series. The quality of some of the episodes on DVD is not good (one episode has a terrible wavering in pitch (a.k.a. "WOW") that starts about halfway through the episode and could probably induce seasickness).
This is one of my most favorite series from the 1950's. |

I remember watching them as a kid and then watching them again with great joy on Nick at Nite. Miss Sothern was then and is still now my favorite actress. I would buy them all in a heartbeat. I'd love them episode order, year by year. And I agree, I too believe they would do well. |

I met Miss Ann back in 1988, only by mail, but it really would be a great tribute to a very dear Christian lady to put this show out for more people to enjoy. |
