Are there any plans on releasing this series in the future?  I bought the Sonic SatAM set thinking it was this series and was somewhat disappointed.  So far it's a decent series at least.  Seems like not much work was done to clean up the video for the set though.  I've noticed a lot of pixelation and the audio sync errors, which have been mentioned before, and that makes it kind of hard to watch the show.  Hopefully if the Sonic series I want gets released, more work will be put into it.  I don't feel like cleaning up the video/audio problems like I did w/ Sonic SatAM....too much work for 1 person that doesn't get paid to do it.

It's coming out soon on both sides of the pond (US and UK, but the latter may come out a bit later and not by Shout). As for the picture quality, Brian (the producer of Shout Factory) says the picture quality and the masters are good as I asked that very question. Since I have experience of the show, most episodes are really good quality. There's only a couple of episodes that have slightly off sync (I know The Robotnik Express for certain) but it is really hard to notice. I'm going to warn that there are a couple of glitches on the masters, one on "The Last Resort" in the beginning and when Grasshopper speaks a noticeable glitch just before Sonic says "Does everyone speak like that?" in "Robo-Ninjas" (aka the unaired Toon Disney episode) when these were aired not too long back. Luckily these problems are in Volumes 2 and 3 (episode 35 and episode 64) and may not appear on the DVD sets.

I have some news for Region 2 fans (and the curious), the UK release is coming and talk about awful boxart, let's hope Shout Factory can do a million times better. You think that's bad, the individual releases have cover art that fits better with SatAM! (Lazar, the dog thing from Sonic Racer, SatAM Robotnik). The set comes out on the 11 July and Shout's comes out on 17th July, 6 day gap between Regions (1 and 2).

Chirst that looks crap, I'm holdinh out for the Shout! release.

I may be biased, but I have to say I think our cover is infinitely better!  ;)

I have a few questions about the set:

1) When will the cover art be released to the internet?

2) Will the episodes Sonic breakout, Super special Sonic Search and Smash Squad, and Lovesick Sonic be on the set?

3) What kind of special features will the set include?

I'll try to answer them in a way it'll make sense.

1. It'll be released sometime between next month and June,
2. The three episodes you've mentioned will be on Volume 1.
3. The special features will include an interview with Milton Knight (the man responsible for Ro-butt-nik's design), and a How-to-Draw Sonic the Hedgehog featurette. My guess on Volume 2 will probably feature a How-To-Draw Miles "Tails" Prower featurette. And I'm sure it'll have not only a tribute to Long John Baldry on Volume 3, but also a How-To-Draw Dr. Robotnik featurette on there, as well.

Now, the third answer may not be accurate, but at least it's still good.

If I can figure out how to load a pic in the forum, I'll be happy to show you guys the cover.

Interesting theories on the next to sets, Yoshi.  We'll certainly see how accurate you are in the coming months.

So, just cut the guy some slack, mac! You're just as impatient as Sonic himself. As for me, I love AoSTH on DVD - The only problem is that it doesn't get to the stores fast enough!
