Back To The Future
The Back To The Future series followed the adventure of Emit Brown, his wife, and two kids (Jules and Verne).  Does anyone know who owns the rights to this cartoon.  This would make a great DVD collection.  Especially with the live appearances of Christopher Lloyd to introduce each episode.

I believe that NBC Universal holds the rights to the cartoon series

RE: Back To The Future

I'd buy a Back to the Future DVD set as well.  I have a lot of the shows on VHS, only missing maybe 5 episodes total.  I was considering buying the one volume that is out on DVD, but I don't trust eBay DVDs since they're usually bootleg copies.

I'm actually curious about this series, since I haven't seen it. I liked the movies though. Is it any good?

I liked the show, there seemed to be some scuttlebug about a reissue of Back to the Future a while back and some speculation that the animated series might make it to DVD but that was 2 years ago. If ever it comes, I hope they leave in the live action bits.

I never got to see too many episodes of the show but enjoyed the ones I did see, and I saw a few VHS copies at a "Dollar General" store once but I didn't have any cash on me at the time and I had forgot about them -_-. So a DVD release would be great.

RE: Back To The Future
Interesting news, on TvonDVD they sated new rumors of Universal green lighting this series onto dvd.  This is just a rumor (though TVonDVD states their source is very reliable).   Best of all if this  comes to light we might see the release within six months (again according to TVonDVD).  I'll just be glad in knowing that this series is coming out eventually, or is close to being released on DVD..

NBC Universal, Amblin Entertainment, along with CBS, who aired the series, control the rights to this show. It was indeed more than a rumour for it's DVD release several years ago. BTTF.com, the official Back to the Future website reported that it was listed in one of Universal's marketing catalogs, but then just scrapped. I'm surprised with the 2010 25th Anniversary release of the movie trilogy that Universal didn't jump on it's release.

Bill Nye was also "Doc's Assistant" in the live action segments.

RE: Back To The Future
Its a cheesy series compared to the movies. It takes over after the 3rd movie and contiunes from there. If you seen The Mask or Dumb & Dumber, you know what to expect out of the animated series. I think the rights of the series are still being hold by universal/nbc.

I remember seeing this when it played on CBS back when TMNT was just starting. They aired them again on Fox Box durning its first run but quickly went away, which was ashame. The best parts, honestly, were when Christopher Lloyd reprised his role as Doc Brown in both the begining and ending of each episode and Bill Nye The Slient(Science) Guy does an experiment while Doc Brown talks about it. You should check out Youtube, there are alot of clips of the show on there. The actor who played Biff from the movies reprised his voice in the animated series while the voice actor who plays Doc Brown in the animated portions is played by an actor alot of people knows from another animated series....d'oh! :-D

Oh and the intro is very catchy. You should check it out.
