Member since: 2/22/2007 | | DIC shows: G.I. Joe, Kissyfur, & Pole Position | I know it has been discussed in the past that Shout! does not currently have the rights to the DIC G.I. Joe show, but if the Sunbow show sells well, is this a possibility down the road? The five part opening miniseries Operation Dragonfire is a pretty direct continuation of the events after G.I. Joe the movie and puts Cobra Commander back in charge of Cobra where he belongs. The DIC show has yet to have any DVD releases.
Kissyfur was a fairly popular Saturday morning show with cute animals that I think might appeal to not only people who grew up on it, but kids today as well. I'd like to see some one release that on DVD some day.

Pole Position is loosely based off the 1980s video game and is another DIC show I'd like to see on DVD in the states some day. I actually do own the UK set that came out.
One of the best 80s cartoon song intros:

Joe, Kissyfur, & Pole Position | | Pole Position could be a problem, depending on what ownership rights Namco (the original makers of Pole Position) have of the cartoon. Further complicating matters is that the Pole Position cartoon was made before Namco opened their US subsidiary in the early '90s, and before they bought into Atari Games (the arcade half of the original Atari) following the notorious Atari split. (Truth be told, I suspect it was these legalities, and not the ratings or even the then-toxic reputation of video games that cost Pole Position a second season.) |

Then if Shout Factory can I would like them to release Mummies Alive!, Double Dragon, and Pole Position. |

If they still did, I'd really love to see them finish off Heathcliff, I was devastated at the news that they lost the rights to that show. |

Why does everyone assume the Pole Position set is a bootleg (same goes for the MASK box sets by Vortex Pictures)? I own it and the quality of the show is excellent. You can't call a DVD a bootleg due to its poor distribution. It was licensed and released, therefore its an official set. |

Operation Dragonfire. this miniseries continues right after the movie.
Season 1 Good animation and Old GI Joe members are there but never speak what are they mute! Plus Storm Shadow is a GI Joe How did this Happen?
Season 2 Vehicles now look too colorful, like the toys and GI Joe saving the environment or the OZone Layer, come on people this isn't Captain Planet
Even if Brian could get this series it wouldn't sell very well cause it's nothing like the sunbow series, way too much comedy and stupid plot lines and two clip episodes. Thanks Brian For getting the Sunbow Series It was the Best One "YO JOE" |
