Ann-Margret Variety Specials and Others.

Ann-Margret did a bunch of highly rated variety specials in the late sixties, 70's and even early 80's and bootleg copies are highly sought after by fans.

I'd love to see these on DVD.

On the subject of variety specials, would love to see material released by Cheryl Ladd, Lynda Carter and Olivia Newton-John and others. All had multiple specials that were emmy nominated and drew big audiences. Does every DVD release have to make big money. I really think from a television archival, historical and legacy point of view these should be released. If I had the money I'd do it myself and be happy to break even.

The one with Lucille Ball would be amazing to see. Only a clip is available on the previously released Here's Lucy DVD set.

And I agree that at times some shows should be put out on DVD specifically for collectors and libraries. There are not many shows that would be commercially successful but have important historical context. Having them available for libraries would be of great public benefit. Even if they were only available for viewing at the library. This would be great for shows such as The Ed Wynn Show and The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show.

I agree. It would be great if the unreleased shows were more widely-available at libraries. What would be even more wonderful would be for each studio to create a special site where you could buy copies of such shows. But I guess clearance issues become the problem. Still it would be a wonderful resource.
