I love the show Webster. this is still one of my favorite shows from the 80s. I remember watching this on Friday nights, on the same night that Mr Belvedere aired.
Especially since both shows used to air together on ABC.
And at least Shout! wouldn't resort to making stupid music edits like CBS/Paramount would.
P.S. CBS/Paramount is the worst studio ever when it comes to music clearances. They even go so far out of their way to replace music COMPOSED for the show (See "The Fugitive" and "My Three Sons"). Seriously, what kind of a studio is that?
I'd certainly get and support Webster as well but I have to wonder how viable it would be to bring out the show at this point. What I mean is, I wonder if the fan base is large enough to support getting all of the series out. And that's just it...if season 1 gets out and flops that would be the end of it...if 75% of the series gets out and then flops that's it too. I've seen it happen to a few shows that didn't deserve that fate. That's something Shout would have to look at I'm sure. Don't get me wrong though I'm surprised it's not been released yet either because Emmanuel Lewis was a very big name in the 80s.
