I know Hasbro bought the rights to Gobots years ago and have somewhat incorporated them into their toyline in the past. I wonder if Hasbro owns the rights to the cartoon as well? With Hasbro's working relationship with Shout! maybe this could become a possibility. Maybe, DIC still owns the rights, but Shout! has worked some in the past with them as well.
<<In 1991, Hasbro took over Tonka, and thus the Gobot trademarks; the molds for the action figures remain the property of Bandai, having only been leased to Tonka, and some were reissued in 1993 for the European Robo Machines line. Since then, these have been used several times – a character called Gobots was released in 1993, a range of figures in 1995 were called the Go-Bots, and Hasbro subsidiary Playskool issued a line named Transformers: Gobots in 2002.>> |

There is so much 80s goodness that Warner has, but is sitting on, that I wish another company would buy some of the shows off of them to release on DVD. |
