The Complete Mama's Family
Not many people know that the NBC release of the 1st season was only the syndicated episodes, not the ones that originally aired. When it came out they were asked about it and they said they only had access to the cut episodes.

I would love to see a complete set of Mama's Family including all of the original, uncut episodes (Joe Hamilton's family or Carol Burnett might know where they are). And you can include the following:

All of the Family skits from The Carol Burnett Show
The 1982 TV movie Eunice
And the reunion episode of The Vicky Lawrence Show

And imagine packaging it in a box that looks like one of Mama's wigs or have it in the shape of the house.

This is a set the country would love!

I'm pretty sure Joe Hamilton's son owns the unedited 1st season episodes.

John Hamilton (Joe's son) does own the unedited master tapes, but the terms of the distribution agreement he has with Warner gives them exclusive rights to DVD releases. According to Hamilton, this prevents him from releasing the 1st and 2nd season shows himself, and Warner has never approached him to acquire the unedited shows. That's pretty much where it stands.

I agree.  I would by this for sure, whether released as a whole set or in individual seasons. Preferably a whole set.

RE: The Complete Mama's Family

I'd love to see Mama's Family the way it was shown in first run. YouTube has a few Alister Quince introductions, and I'd love to see them intact with the episodes themselves. I love the packaging idea of using Mama's house. I'd also despreatly would like to see the first, second and third seasons the right way, from the production numbers, because I hate watching the first season because its shown grossly out of order.

Does anyone know when Warner Bros. rights exspire on Mama's Family?

Does anyone know who we could write to/call/email to get this to happen?  I think its a great idea and if enough of us show interest maybe we can see a release.

RE: The Complete Mama's Family
I just got the first season of Mamma's family and I couldn't believe how long ago it was released and NO SECOND season yet?????????? come on now, I see all the stupid stuff that's out there, and I would LOVE to have a box set of Mamma's family ! don't care how much it  would be- I think its about TIME we did a shout out for MAMMA because the show sure made us LAUGH. unlike the shows of today. Carol Burnette and Vicki Lawrence [sorry if misspelled]- well they were VERY good actress'es and the show is soooo funny. I want to start a petition to get mamma' family out there ! who is willing to help/?? Its been since 2006 ! for goodness sakes its  not right to have only one season out. There are people who enjoyed mamma's family and I  and my mother and neighbor love it. !! so come on lets get started on Mamma's Family season 2 or a box set! money don't matter- laughter does. !
