Australia and US pilot | While Are You Being Served? was in production in the UK John Inman took his character of Mr. Humphreys to Australia where they used the same scripts (modified a bit) and had the same characters just with different actors. This series has never been seen in the US.
And in the 70's Garry Marshall did a pilot for an unsold US version. It was named Beanes of Boston adn starred John Hillerman (Magnum, P.I.), Charlolette Rae (The Facts of Life), Alan Sues (Laugh-In), and Lorna Patterson (TV's Private Benjamin). |

Just thinking about it and remembered that various PBS stations did a number of specials and interviews with him over the years. Having a DVD set with these shows plus the PBS material would be the ultimate collectors item. Shout could also add a reprint of the script for the stage show and a reprint of the 1976 paperback book. |
