Remember, the theme, "Welcome Back" by John Sebastian, was a huge hit back in the 70s, so it would be quite expensive to use the song in each of the 23 episodes of season 2, and the 27 episodes of season 3. Unlike CBS/Paramount, Warner has a knack for keeping music intact for DVD releases. That's why some of their shows have still yet to see even season 1 releases. Hangin' With Mr. Cooper, for example.
So it is not very likely that we will see seasons 2 and 3 of Kotter released any time soon (season 4 is not necessary since it was an awful season). Plus, Warner has not licensed any of their shows to SF as far as I know. But who knows? I'll keep my fingers crossed anyway. |
