I hope these are for sale in stores too. I'd love to buy these. Perfect way to continue the MST3K tradition but as long as they're for sale on DVD because then I could see them. And these are riffs of actual bad movies (cept HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL was pretty good).

And I'd love to see those shorts. :)

Hey, now... I liked Carnival of Souls!  It's my favorite ghost story.

Thanks for the heads up on these!

*hopes they're available at her local Best Buy when they're released*

Anyone know if this is online ordering only? I haven't seen these DVDs in stores yet. Not even Best Buy.

RE: RiffTrax dvds coming

They seem to almost be exclusively on-line only.

My friend's and I have hit the three local Best Buy stores and have only located a single DVD (Night Of The Living Dead) which proudly rests on the shelf with my Film Crew and MST3K collection.  bestbuy.com seems to only have like 4 discs if you search the store for "RiffTrax" (Shorts Vol. 1, Shorts Vol. 2, The House On Haunted Hill, Night Of The Living Dead).  At one point, they did have Carnival of Souls and one or two others, but they don't seem to have them, anymore.  Apparently, none of the employees any of us had spoken with had ever even heard of the discs, although we had perked the interest of one of them into looking into the shows after he found out that they were by the MST3K crew.

We found out from one of the employees at a local Best Buy that the RiffTrax  listed at their website that begin with the seriel number SKU: 17 are online-only.  The other DVDs may or may not be in the store (or at other stores).  That might make checking around a little easier so that you don't ask for the ones that are online-only.

RE: RiffTrax dvds coming

When first released Rifftrax DVDs are sold exclusively by Legend at their online store, thus maximizing their own profit margin on them. After they've been out for a few months, those same DVDs then become available through other vendors like Amazon and DeepDiscount. DeepDiscount sells most of them for about $6 each, $9 for the Rifftrax Live shows. I have yet to see a Rifftrax DVD release that did not follow this pattern. If you have some patience, wait for DeepDiscount to sell them and get them at a great price with free shipping. Forget Best Buy, a real misnomer in my experience.
