RE: Captain Planet

I'm sure it would sell quite a lot, it was quite a big thing at the late 80s/early 90s except there is one little problem. DiC does not have the rights (did they actually make it? like DiC GI Joe or dubbed an infamous Toei anime that I don't believe), it is WB (Warner Bros) who owns the series. If I remember it was a long time ago since it last aired here but not too long ago on Cartoon Network/Boomerang.

Then again with this global warming lark, it might be the perfect time to save the environment or may be not.

I think Turner would have more of a say in the release than Warner Bros.  It was an awesome show, though.  And very marketable.  We who watched it new would love it, and it would be something good for the new generation of eco-conscious Americans.  Not to mention, the great voice talents it featured: Whoopi Goldberg, Lavar Burton, Ed Asner, John Ratzenberger, and lots of other guest spots.  We need the powers to combine again!

FIRE!!! I mean, um, yeah Captain Planet's one of those that Shout! doesn't have a lot of opportunity to get a hold of. Seeing as how it's owned by Turner, it makes things a little difficult. Still, don't hold out hope. I have a feeling the series will make its way to DVD within a short while.

RE: Captain Planet

I certainly hope so. I hate having to scour cable for reruns...
