Is there any hope for classic Nickelodeon shows?
I wonder if those great shows will ever see proper releases. It seems like most people I know who are headed toward our 30s are getting really nostalgic for the shows we grew up with. It drives me crazy that some of them have had single seasons released with follow up seasons cancelled and that others haven't been released at all.

I'm talking about the early 90s classics like Clarissa Explains It All, The Secret World of Alex Mack, Hey Dude, Salute Your Shorts, and maybe some others that were popular around that time.

I remember when Daria was being discussed it was deemed impossible to release because MTV doesn't usually subliscence their programing, so a release of anything by Nickelodeon is highly unlikely.

Shout Factory knows how to release televsion, now if only they could release Legends Of the HIdden Temple. One can always dream.

I can imagine many places thinking "what's the point?" in releasing DVDs of game shows, but I agree, I'd love to have some classic Double Dare, GUTS!, NickArcade, and especially Legends of the Hidden Temple on DVD. My friend and I would watch a bunch of those for hours just a few years ago on NickGas, and they brought back so many memories. :)

The way Viacom networks handle their classic shows is sickening. People have been begging for these shows for so many years.

It seems like there should be something we can do. The number of people who want these shows is huge. It's crazy that so many people want to give them money, and they refuse to put out the merchandise.

Tennessee Tuxedo and his Tales: The Complete Collection
MoreTennessee, a wise-cracking penguin, and his dimwitted pal Chumley resided in the Megalopolis Zoo, where they were constantly scheming against zookeeper Stanley Livingston and his assistant Flunky in an attempt to raise the quality of zoo life.
