Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures

This one of those great gems of the past that was only shown once (Fox Kids in the '90s) after it's airings

It would be cool if Shout! Factory would release the complete series of "Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures" on DVD

RE: Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures
One of the greatest of the CBS Saturday morning lineup. Other shows from the period like Garfield & Friends, Galaxy High and one solo DVD of the Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat (we need it all too) show have been released on DVD, this would be most appealing. It was great crazy fun. If ever you do release, be sure to do it unedited. There was an overreaction to one scene where some people thought as a drug reference.
Boys and me, will love this, girls should too but you seem to be going for a male demographic. It is superheroes and comedy, everyone loves Bat-Bat and Bakshi fans would adore it. Also needed on DVD, the complete Terrytoons
 including the original Mighty Mouse.

Agreed.

Tom Terrific is also in need of a DVD release!

To be honest, I have never seen the show but it would be something up my alley to see (where I come from Mighty Mouse is an unknown aka no one's heard of him) and to see the fuss about the "so called cocaine sniffing scene", I bet it is just over reacting. This will be perfect for Shout to do and try for me to see a little bit for a flavour. Also thank you for the person who mentioned The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat, I haven't seen that show for about 8 or 9 years now and completely forgot about it until now (it hasn't been reaired in years) when someone mentioned Milton Knight did some part of the show. That needs a DVD release for a character who is one of the earliest cartoon characters.

Having this series officially on a deluxe, extras-loaded DVD box set would make me extremly happy. But the rights to this show are held by Viacom (and Wikipedia claims that CBS, which recently split off from Viacom, owns some rights, but I'm not sure that's true.), and producers Ralph Bakshi (who has his own site) and John W. Hyde also own certain rights to this series. The rights to this show are just a tad tangled though it should be noted that John Kricfalusi, who directed many episodes of this show, has begged Viacom in recent years to release it on DVD), and Viacom has shown no interest in the Terrytoons in recent years although they're making a CGI Mighty Mouse movie which should be released soon).

From what I understand, Lions Gate holds the license to Mighty Mouse, Terrytoons and Betty Boop, not to mention the Hal Roach studios live action talkie shorts but the head hates Laurel & Hardy type of comedies. I think that type of uneducated hatred could be applied to Mighty Mouse and Betty Boop as well. Maybe Shout Factory can license these from Lions Gate?
