Earthworm Jim

I've always liked this gaming cartoon when I was a kid (and when it was very briefly reaired not too long back), really funny as I remember. Oh yeah and the characters from the game, the lines, plus the top voice cast (Dan "Homer Simpson" Castellita as Earthworm Jim, Kath Soucie, Jim Cummings), too bad it only had like 26 episodes.

Any chance even as slim as nothing for a DVD release?

Yeah, i would love have this and the Back to The Future cartoon on dvd, and many others. They both would make nice complete series box sets for my collection.

I'm pretty sure Earthworm JIm is owned by Warner Bros and I doubt that they would license it out. I loved the game but I was never a fan of the cartoon but I hope it eventually comes out on DVD for those that love it.

Nope. It's owned by Universal. They were the ones who created the show for Kids WB. Maybe you guys can speak with Universal Animation (the guys behind the Land Before Time series on Cartoon Network) and Doug TenNapel, and it might actually work out better, even if Queen Pulsating-Bloated-Sweaty-Pus-Filled-Malformed-Slug-For-A-Butt had planned it. If that doesn't happen, then I'll chop you down into bits so small you can shuck 'em through a screen door!

If we do convince Universal Cartoon Studios to release Earthworm Jim on DVD maybe we could convince them to release Back to the Future: The Animated Series. I've seen all three Back to the Future movies and they were AWESOME!!!!!! I also used to watch Back to the Future: The Animated Series when FoxBox aired it. It was an awesome series but I never saw season 2 because it didn't air on the Fox Box. Maybe sometime we could convince Universal to release this show on DVD as well as Earthworm Jim. As for Earthworm Jim, that's another great series. I remembered watching it on the WB network along with Freakazoid. I have the one out of four of the VHS releases for this show called: Assault and Battery which contains these 2 episodes: "Assault and Battery" and Trout! If we convice Universal to release Earthworm Jim and Back to the Future on DVD then I would probably get those two shows.

Well, NBC-Universal and Shout Factory DID release McHale's Navy - Season 1. Maybe they'll do the same for EarthWorm Jim - The Complete Series!

Throw in the 1996-1999 Casper series and the rest of Amazing Stories and the 1999 Woody Woodpecker series, and I'm happy.

(This may be not related to the original post but) You're in luck.  Universal just announced on July 24, 2007 Woody Woodpecker & Friends - Classic Cartoon Collection, will be released in a 3-DVD set.

Them are the 1940-50s theatrical shorts, not the 1999 series. Happy that one's coming out even though I am more familar with the other series.
