I saw something in another post about just releasing it all the same time, thats a good idea. Most people like to buy something from start to fin. I just got all 4box set of He-man and will get all 4box set of thundercats next month. Us 80s cartoon geeks, love our toons and are willing to buy them all.in one shot. Please give us what we want. |

Member since: 2/8/2007 | | RE: C.O.P.S | Brian said something about how it would cost Shout a lot of money to release the whole series at once, since there were only 66 episodes. Shows like Sonic the Hedgehog had only 26 episodes per season, so they can release the whole series at once there.
It seems almost as if the only way we can get the rest of the series released onto DVD is to send a persuasive business letter to the head honchoes, in a business-like fashion without sounding demanding. "Release the rest of the C.O.P.S. first season or I'll blow up your house" is not, I repeat, NOT exactly going to help here.
We will also need to put out some eye-catching advertising promoting this, so that fans who may have forgotten the show (it was 18 years ago, after all) will remember it, and be interested enough to purchase it. The only question is, how do we start in both areas? |

Hey, they say sending letters to SF is much more effective than making online petitions that most people say don't work. I think eye catching advertising is a great idea as long as we have the stuff to do it. But the most important thing about advertising is that it should never be done that leads to something very similar to the moonighties incident came about in Boston awhile back and above all, no spamming! So I'm all for what you have suggested, Dave.

Why not make a homemade video advertising the C.O.P.S. series and load it up on youtube for all to see? I honestly don't have a video camera and I'm no good at animation but I know for the fact that there's someone out there who does excellent work in homemade videos and animation. So, if there's someone out there who's real good at making videos for youtube, How's about making a real good eye-catching video commercial advertisement for the C.O.P.S. series?
