I am a HUGE Jem fan even at 33 I still find myself humming songs from the show at least once a week. Even today the themes in the series are incredibly relevant. The love story between young people, cheating and jealousy with a twist. The possibilities for digital special effects in a feature film contain revolutionary possibilities. Not to mention the music is so pre American Idol lets think about the Battle of the Bands. The music, the colors, the glamor attitude, THE MISFITS. Please bring it all back!

Releasing the entire Jem series in 2010 would be an amazing way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the intial cartoon release.

I know the Jem community would be so excited to have finally have the full series on DVD!

I would love to see Jem on DVD.G.I. Joe,Transformers,and My Little Pony are still going strong. It is in no way fair Jem has to take back seat to this. She was just as action packed and happened to have glamour,glitter,fashion and fame. Sure G.I. Joe and Trasnformers are awesome. But Jem had a secret,mystery,love,lies,deception,and awesome songs. She has everything that was great about the eighties. Seeing her takes us back to saturday mornings wating with out bowls of cereal to rock out to the coolest show on tv. All of us know the songs and episodes by heart but they are so good they never get old. With having her on dvd reliving those saturday mornings we`ll never get old either. She reminds us of happier times. Please consider putting Jem on dvd.It will mean the world to so many Jemboys and Jem girls.

While at Best Buy recently we noticed all the great DVD packages for different shows and more. We began to wonder what kind of cool packaging would you want your JEM DVDs in?

Would you want the JEM DVDs to come in a guitar case? Speaker or Amp case? In a shooting star for JEM?

I hope there'll be either no 5.1 sound or 5.1 sound plus the original mix as options. I prefer a show's original audio, so I'd like to have a choice.

We really hope that all the replies will give Shout! Factory an idea for packaging of a JEM DVD release. We know there are so many possibilites for exciting special features and more.

Keep the suggestions coming! We want to make sure they know everything we want and everything we don't. ;) If you don't let them know then they won't know until after it's released and then it's too late. :( Help them in making a possible JEM DVD release the best it can be for generations to come to enjoy them!

We made our first Shout! Factory DVD purchase today and it was simply fantastic! We bought the 'California Dreams' Seasons 1 & 2 DVD set and the picture and sound quality was amazing. We give it an A+ and now know they would do a superior job in releasing a high quality DVD set for JEM!

I'm a 35 y.o. male, and I loved the JEM series growing up. I bought the Rhino Jem DVD set on the first day of release. I was excited when the second set came out as well. Unfortunately, Rhino never completed their set. Now Shout has the oppotunity to start AND finish this amazing series on DVD. I really pray that Shout listens to the fans and give this set the green light. JEM was more than outrageous, she's an icon of the 80s. She personifies the great decade that was the 80s.

   This time around we all want more bonus features. I agree with everyone on here on what should be included in this set. From interviews, to bonus CD with music, to the original Hasbro doll commercials, to the cartoon plugging commercials for Jem, and many other outrageous features.

  As for the box art, I'd love to see the original box artwork presented on the DVD covers. That is what initially drew me to JEM. She was so believable. Like the G.I. JOE action figure card-front artwork. In your heart they were real just like you and I. We the fans gave them fame. Our love for these cartoons/toys have kept them alive. Especially JEM with no marketing since the late 80s. She still survives. That says a lot for a cartoon/franchise. LISTEN to the fans.

   I am thrilled that Transformers and G.I. JOE are being re-released on DVD. I plan to buy Shout's DVD sets to sit along side my Rhino sets. My only other DVD request would be to release Hasbro's other franchsise: The Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light.  Thanks for allowing me to express myself about this topic. I only pray that Shout listens to the fans, and takes this to heart.

As a long time fan of Jem - I was/am really disappointed that Jem hasn't gotten the recognition the show deserves. She never got a new TV show, reintroduction of her toys, or big budget movie (live action or animated). I think the show has a strong following & hopefully we can get together & get SHOUT! FACTORY to release Jem on DVD! PLEASE give us JEM fans the opportunity to FINALLY have the ENTIRE series on an officially released DVD set!!

Well going under the assumption that it would be one big set (?).

The slim dvd cases definitely - inside a cardboard housing (kinda like how almost every tv series seems to be coming out in) and have the cases be clear so that the inside of the cover can have art, or the episodes listed. My personal vote is for the art from Jademaliburoad's posts - That way each band can have art representing them (STINGERS FINALLY!)

Now if it were split into 3 seasons - each season should be a band - with them as the focus on the main outer cover and the discs as well

I am really getting excited at the thought of having the final season as an official releasing!

We so totally help that since Hasbro reacquired the rights to the Sunbow library they will be able to use the original JEM illustrations featured on the doll packages, posters, etc. Those are some truly exceptional illustrations. Fans have simply adored these illustrations for years and have come to be the staple on many JEM fansites and more!

Hopefully they will use them for the packaging, like they did on the F.H.E. video releases in the 80's.

Shout! must include Jem's commercial bumpers in every episode on DVD. Including the Jem 1985 pilot movie and with its commercial bumpers of the billboard images that were seen at the end of "Hot Time In Hawaii" episode. Which was aired as a TV movie special back in April of 1986. And Shout should also include every Jem toy commercial. Including the 1-900 contest, and the 1-800-ROCK-JEM contest commercials. And Shout should also include the WPIX-TV Jem doll & radio controlled race car contset too that was also aired back in the spring of 1986.

Would you rather see invidual JEM season box sets released or a complete series box set?

We ask this for fear something will happen with the rights issue, like it did with Kid Rhino who lost the rights to JEM before the final set of DVDs were released.

If you'd like to see a complete series box set released, like Shout! Factory is doing with Transformers and G.I.Joe please reply to this thread and let them know.

Hopefully Shout! will acquire the rights from Hasbro to release JEM on DVD soon, so please keep letting them now you wnat it released so that they know the interest is still there if they should acquire the rights to do so.

As long as JEM gets released on DVD I will also take ANYTHING at this point. Complete or Season by season set[s] are fine with me. JEM means so many things to so many people. It has a huge following ON and OFF the internet. JEM 20+ years later still continues to touch peoples lives. IF it DIDN'T fans ALL ACROSS the WORLD would not be asking for JEM's DVD release or should I say re-release? If there is a PETITION[s] to sign. I WILL SIGN it. If there is a way for SHOUT to release JEM to the public I will BUY it. The worst thing SHOUT can do to JEM fans is NOT to listen to US.

Please, Shout Factory IF it's possible give us BACK our JEM TV. Thank You.

This waiting is already taking too long and the recent news JEM was not part of the Hasbro contract is very frustrating.

But we keep on hoping something will happen SOON!

I agree with you. I want the BUMPERS to remain in-between the episodes. Just like how it originally aired. I really hope they also do this with the G.I. JOE & Transformers sets. I'll never forget when I first watched the Rhino sets and seen the bumpers....I was freaking out. I was like YES, YES!!! They kept everything.  So BUMPERS are a MUST KEEP!!!!

Yes, Thank You Brian. I hope that The Transformers and G.I. Joe sets succeed too.  Just like JemSpace if there is anything I can do to help get JEM back on DVD please let me know. As for the Complete DVD Set or Set by Set DVD's, I would prefer a Complete series set; but if for any reason JEM should get a season by season release, that's fine just as long as JEM gets released that's all that really matters.

So, the best way to help insure that JEM is released on DVD is to help make sure that the Transformers and G.I.Joe DVD releases are a success! Ultimately, we think these 2 DVD releases will be a huge success without any effort on our part, but we can certainly try and help in any way that we can.

As many of you might already know, there are several people who were involved with JEM that were also involved in these 2 shows as well. Christy Marx, the head writer for JEM also wrote episodes for Transformers. Voice actress Samantha Newark, the speaking voice of JEM, also lended her vocal talents to G.I.Joe. Dan Gilvezan, the voice of Sean Harrison/Fitzgerald Beck on JEM, was also the voices of Bumblebee on Transformers and Slip Stream on G.I.Joe. Many other artists worked on these series, and if you are a fan of their work on JEM then you will certainly be a fan of their work on Transformers and G.I.Joe if you're not already. ;)

We can let other JEM fans, who might not know, about these talented artists work on these 2 other titles. We can also post bulletins on our Facebook, MySpace and Twitter pages about the Transformers and G.I.Joe DVD releases, the dates, and where they can be purchased.

Please, Re-Release JEM on DVD!

Of course! But didn't we talk about this a month or two ago? Oh, well, it bears repeating. :P

After seeing all the cool extras the Transformers set is getting, I hope Jem will receive the same treatment. I just might have to buy that Transformers set to give Shout! Factory a little more incentive to release Jem. ;) These sets are kinda like eighties time capsules. :P

Great idea Deco Bryl about the JEM CDs with all the music compiled. We'd so love to own them as well. We had all the cassette tapes that came with the dolls lined up as kids listening to them.

Would other JEM fans love to see the DVD set include JEM CDs with all the music from the series? Or even seperate releases to purchase?

Let Shout! Factory know you'd like them to release JEM CDs as a bonus to the DVDs or even seperate right here as well. We wanna make sure they have all kinds of great ideas for a possible JEM DVD release. But we agree a CD bonus would be soooo amazing!

WOW!! I just saw the 25th Anniversary Complete Transformers series set and I WOULD LOVE FOR THE SAME TO BE GIVEN TO JEM!!!! I love that you can print scripts, and that they included the commercials!! I HOPE HOPE HOPE - That a set like that is released for Jem - you could call it the Truly Outrageous Collection (of course!!) - I think an AWESOME extra for a possible Jem set would be audio CDs of the show's music. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do the same for Jem!!

The Transformers DVD's look amazing. I HOPE that JEM gets re-released on DVD and has these bonus features too.

I would also like to say again to please include The JEM BUMPERS in the episodes. I just LOVED them. The BUMPERS were beautifully done and are just as much a part of JEM as the THEME Songs.

As far as a JEM CD: YES, YES, YES, YES! I don't care if it comes with the DVD's or NOT I would LOVE a complete JEM songs CD collection and have it include: The INSTRUMENTAL Tracks of the songs that came with the JEM DOLLS CASSETTE TAPES and the ones that DIDN'T come with the cassettes,  B-SIDES aka UNAIRED Tracks or LOST Tracks [If there are any] EXTENDED Tracks, Demo Tracks, Foreign Tracks,  Remixes, and The Limp Lizards song broken Glass and of course THE JEM Theme SONGS!
