Looks just like NES boxart with extras like Frog Luigi and the Koopa Kids (that strangely looks like fan art from deviantART, probably wrong). Good extras too and great news about the original music [unsure about Princess Toadstool for President and Kootie Pie Rocks] and the other features as well. |

The artwork is so so but for me its the complete series on dvd, finally.Although what confused me is that the news is called Captain N & the adventures of SMB 3. But like i said before, i wonder what the extras will be about. But can't wait already. Wow Music from the game, thats a great bonus, cant wait to see the rest.

Plus that enemy, if i remember correctly, is the exclusive baddy for SMB3 the game and in the series.

Work on the DVDs is actually progressing nicely. We're not too far away from shipping it off to the manufacturer. I've not really discussed the bonus material on it anywhere else, so now and here is as good a place as any. The third disc is an interactive "replica" of the original Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 Writers Bible. For those not in the know, a writers bible is the book written by the show's creators and given to each writer, so that the scripts and stories can remain consistant. In my last trek to DiC's offices, I was fortunate enough to find the original writers bible and have recreated using narration, concept art, and video. It should be noted that the narration is WORD-FOR-WORD what the writers read when they opened up their copies. It really is a blast and was a lot of fun to put together.
Not much longer to wait!

Now that sounds pretty interesting, first I've heard of it (Heard of the SatAM, Captain N and AoSTH ones but not SMB3). Too bad I won't be able to buy the box set since I have my European version DVDs and it is on TV quite a lot along with Super Mario World. Personally I would have bought it but buying 3 versions of the same show is a bit insane. |
