Shout and 80's toons
Brian, its been a long time since i posted on here, i was wondering if Shout was looking into producing anymore 80's toons? I think both GI Joe series are out of the question because its rights are owned already, and hopefully with the GI Joe movie release the cartoons will come out as well....i have high hopes because we just got the real ghostbusters complete set, which is nuts... i say because i own it. One cartoon in particular i was wondering about was the early 80's i think '81-83 or something...Spiderman and his amazing friends i think its called.....i'm 27 so i am ot old enough to have seen it when it aired, but i saw it on re-runs when i was in college early in the morning, and thought it was good toon, i know Marvel probally owns the rights to it, but is there any point to look into it you think? I have seen other more recent spiderman dvd series on tvshowsondvd.com being released so maybe theres hope......Oh yeah and i mentioned this probally a year and half ago, I'm not sure if DIC still owns the rights or if Disney does, but i mentioned Wild West C.O.W. Boys of Moo Mesa  long time ago to you, but you said it probally wouldnt be profitable.....has that changed? Its not my favorite toon by far, but it'd still be nice to have. thanks Brian

RE: Shout and 80's toons
Hi TK I'm not Brian but I know a lot about Spider-Friends. You need to go to www.spider-friends.com No one knows who has the rights for any of the old Marvel Cartoons (it's not Disney) we have people working on finding out. The complete Spider-Friends series is out on DVD just not over here. It was released in the UK. It is a great DVD set. Also check out http://marvel.toonzone.net/ and http://forums.toonzone.net/forumdisplay.php?f=83 for updates on anything Marvel Cartoon related. If you would like to import a copy you can go to www.amazon.co.uk and type in Marvel Originals and look for the Complete Spider-Friends Collection and they also have the Complete Incredible Hulk 80s cartoon as well, or you can just go to my page for all the info and direct links. I own both sets and give them both two big thumbs way up. I hope this helps. I made a post about these releases on my web page feel free to check it out http://theturtleslair.heroesanddreams.com?id=717  The links are highlighted in blue.

It would be great if Shout Factory could get the rights to the Marvel Cartoons Brian would do a great job on putting the sets together. And with Jon over at Spider-Friends.com who knows everything there is to know about Spider-Friends Brian would have endless amounts of help in putting the sets together. Shout Factory would probably be the last great company to do the sets justice since BCI was just shut down . I loved that company. Hope this helps. You can also get the complete Tick Animated Series completely uncut with every episode intact as well from Amazon UK. If you have a Amazon.com account they are linked and automatically convert US Dollars to the British Pound. (Note that the US versions are heavly cut)
